A Closer Look at the Iconic Suite on Celebrity's Edge Class Ships

Celebrity's Edge Class of ships have raised the bar in the premium cruise industry. They have elevated the spaces throughout the ship, from the public venues to the interior staterooms- all featuring upgraded and elegant touches that will take guests around the world in luxury.
One of the areas that showcase these lavish details are the Retreat Suites, and there is no better example of this than the Iconic Suite. This gorgeous suite can sleep up to 6 passengers, and feels as though you have set foot in a luxury home the moment you walk through the door. The incredible forward facing views can be taken in throughout the space through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There are two bedrooms and bathrooms, and an extra-large veranda over the wings of the ship.
Staying in the Iconic Suite means that you have access to the Retreat spaces, including the sun deck, pool, lounge and bar, and the Retreat restaurant- Luminae.

The main living space features an expansive room with large windows directly over the bridge so you get the same views as the captain. There is a full dining table, and you can choose to have all your meals delivered to your room if you prefer. The sitting area offers an expansive sectional sofa and comfortable chairs, all centered around a giant flat-screen tv- perfect for movie nights! You can also have a Peloton brought up to your room if you request it, so you can get an incredible workout in the comfort of your own suite.
Just off the foyer is a hallway with a coat closet, leading to a butler's pantry. Your butler can use this space to prep your meals, or if you are having a party, they can take care of that for you as well- and there is a separate entrance so they can come and go without disturbing you or your guests.
In the main bedroom you will find a luxury king size bed with upgraded mattress and linens, facing the large forward windows for incredible views the moment you wake up in the morning. There is a vanity off to one side, and a flat-screen tv that drops down from the ceiling whenever you want to watch a movie or your favorite show. There is storage all throughout the space for your clothing and luggage, and french doors that lead into the bathroom.
The main bathroom offers two sinks, once on either side, with ample counter and storage space. There is a water closet, and a large step-in shower with a rainfall shower head. The bathroom also includes a giant jacuzzi style tub with jets, perfect for relaxing after a long day of fun onboard the ship.
On the other side of the living and dining room you will find the second bedroom and bathroom. There is a hallway with plenty of storage, and a door that leads to a Royal Suite, and you can book both suites for even more space. The second bedroom features a large king bed with comfortable mattress and upgraded linens, and a vanity by the window. Down the hall is the second bathroom with a large sink and a spacious walk-in shower.
Outside on your private veranda you have an incredible amount of space. This veranda is almost 700 square feet, and sits over the wing of the bridge, extending out and over the side of the ship. Here you will find a jacuzzi, an outdoor dining table, extra-comfy chairs and loungers, and a full daybed to relax on and take in the ever-changing ocean vistas.

The Retreat Spaces
Located in it's own key-card-access-only area of the ship, the Retreat spaces onboard Ascent are what can only be describes as: truly exclusive.
THE SUNDECK | The Retreat sundeck is an expansive space, offering extra-comfy loungers, day beds, hot tubs, and a pool with the famous Retreat chairs suspended over the water.
THE LOUNGE | The Lounge in the Retreat is a cozy space where you can grab a light bite or drink from the bar, hang out with friends old and new, and truly get the most out of your cruise experience.
LUMINEA | This is the Retreat guest restaurant onboard, and offers the best food on the ship. Here you can enjoy a menu created by Mechlin star chefs, including signature dishes by Daniel Boulud, Celebrity's global culinary ambassador.
