Choose How You Earn with Points Choice on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea

Royal Caribbean Group introduced a loyalty program game changer for their three brands – Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea. It gives you maximum freedom to explore all of their brands!
The cross-brand program is called Points Choice. Starting with sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026, the door to earning points on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea has been opened!
What is Points Choice?
In the past, Royal Caribbean Group’s "Status Match" allowed you to enjoy your perks earned in one program (like free laundry or drink vouchers) across all three brands. However, you couldn't actually earn points toward your "home" program unless you sailed on that specific line.
Points Choice changes that. Now, whether you are enjoying a quick weekend getaway on Royal Caribbean, a special celebration voyage on Celebrity, or exploring the world in luxury on Silversea, you can choose to have those cruise points count toward your preferred Royal Caribbean Group program.
Setting Your Preferences
The process is flexible and handled entirely through the brand app or website:
Sail: Enjoy your cruise on any of the three brands.
Decide: Before you sail or within 14 days of returning home, decide where those points should go.
Request: Use the "Points Choice" request form to credit your newly earned points to the program of your choice.
Danny's Tip: If you prefer to earn in the brand program you are sailing, you don't need to make this selection within 14 days of returning home, the points will simply default to the brand you actually sailed with.
The Strategy: Mix, Match, and Level Up
Because each brand calculates loyalty differently (Silversea uses "days," while Royal uses "points"), there is a standardized 2026 Exchange Rate. This allows you to strategically "game" your status:
For the Milestone Hunter: Want to reach that "Complimentary Milestone Cruise" on Silversea? Use your shorter, more frequent Royal Caribbean weekend getaways to stack up Venetian Society days.
For the Solo Traveler: Solo cruisers often get bonus points. Under Points Choice, those bonuses follow the rules of the receiving program.
Example: If you sail Royal but transfer to Celebrity, you could earn double points for that solo cabin based on Celebrity’s generous solo policy!
Key Details to Remember
Eligibility: Only applies to new sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026.
One-Way Street: Once you transfer points for a specific sailing, you cannot move them again.
Enrollment: You must be enrolled in the loyalty program you want to send points to before you can transfer them.
Is this the end of "Status Match"?
Not at all! Status Match still exists. It gives you the perks of your highest tier today. Points Choice is the engine that helps you reach the next tier faster by letting you pool every single night at sea into one "bucket."
