Star of the Seas officially began her maiden voyage on August 31st, with her first paying customers onboard ready to experience the largest cruise ship in the world! Royal Caribbean went over-the-top with their Icon Class ships, showcasing many brand new suite and stateroom categories, and adding luxurious and contemporary touches to the designs of each and every cabin.
This ship can hold up to 7,500 passengers at full capacity throughout her 20 decks, so there are plenty of staterooms and suites to choose from when you book on Star. Let's take a closer look at all the categories onboard.
Star Class
Known for its exclusivity and ultimate luxury, Star Class is the way to go if you want to experience the best-of-the-best that Royal Caribbean has to offer! With perks from priority boarding, to private access, unlimited dining options, and more, Star Class has everything you could want while on a vacation with your family, friends, or group!
ROYAL LOFT SUITE
The Royal Loft Suite is one of the most popular Star Class suites, and on the Icon Class ships, it has been taken to a whole new level. The space is expansive, and boasts a luxurious design and accommodations for up to 6 people with lots of room to spare.
Upstairs is a small lounge space, and a large closet for all of your belongings. The upstairs bedroom offers a king size bed, large flat screen tv, and floor-to-ceiling windows for a ton of natural light. Downstairs the living room features a large sectional sofa and an enormous flat screen tv, perfect for a family movie night! There is a full dining room table inside, a baby grand piano, and 2-story floor to ceiling windows that let in an incredible amount of light.
The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are spacious, and there is direct access to the balcony hot tub space as well. Outside the deck wraps around with views off the side of the ship, and views overlooking Central Park and the Swim and Tonic pool. There are comfy loungers and chairs on the back side overlooking the Park, and while there is not a ton of privacy as it is just one deck above the pool, you and tuck around the side and enjoy dining privately with incredible ocean views.

ICON LOFT SUITE
Another new suite category on the Icon Class ships is the beautiful Icon Loft. This 2 story suite sleeps up to 4 people, an incredible option for families, or a couple looking for a romantic vacation with a little bit of extra room to spread out.
The lower level features a full bathroom- perfect for guests stopping by for drinks, or those sleeping on the pull-out sofa. There is a full dining table so you can enjoy ordering in-suite from Izumi, Chops, or any other of the specialty restaurants onboard. The living room features a sofa, comfortable chair, flat screen tv, and 2-story floor-to-ceiling windows that let in an incredible amount of natural light.
Up the stairs you will find the loft style bedroom. The king size bed faces out toward the windows, so you can wake up every morning to incredible ocean views. The bathroom boasts a large step-in shower, expansive vanity, and plenty of storage for toiletries.
