Catch a Wave at Sea: The FlowRider Adventure on a Royal Caribbean Ship

One of the most exciting features found on a Royal Caribbean cruise is the FlowRider surf simulator. Located on the top decks, the Flowrider is a Royal Caribbean staple. This ingenious creation propels water over a curved ramp, creating the perfect conditions for guests to try their hand at surfing or bodyboarding.
After watching the safety videos and filling out all the forms, guests are given a white wristband which indicates they have permission to attempt bodyboarding. After a successful attempt at bodyboarding, the safety instructors will allow you to try stand-up surfing on a mini surfboard. You will have 2-3 attempts to stand up on the board and stay upright for several seconds. Those who complete this task will be upgraded to a blue wristband for the duration of the cruise, and those who are unable to stay standing for the allotted time will go back to bodyboarding. But don't worry! If you don't make it standing up your first time, you will be allowed to try again at another session.
The FlowRider is an experience highly recommended for anyone on a Royal Caribbean cruise. It's a fantastic way to have some fun, challenge oneself, and create unforgettable memories (and perhaps a few amusing photos of wipeouts!). Guests are encouraged to give it a go—they might just surprise themselves!
