Icon of the Seas has made her debut- the largest cruise ship ever built- and now Royal Caribbean fans are asking "What next?". Royal Caribbean has outdone themselves with Icon, showcasing incredible shows, endless thrills and chills, and delicious dining...where on earth is Royal going to go from here? You might think this is the pinnacle...but Royal Caribbean has other plans...

Star of the Seas, the next Icon Class ship is already in the works, just as Icon stars her debut season out of Miami, Florida. Star will continue the theme of thrills, chills, and wows, and now that the world has seen Icon, we have a bit clearer idea of what to expect from her.

She will have the same amazing neighborhoods: Thrill Island, Chill Island, The Hideaway, AquaDome, Central Park, Surfside Family Neighborhood, Suite Neighborhood, and the Royal Promenade. We expect to see many of the same venues, and possibly a few new ones as well!

Star will make Port Canaveral her home, with 7 night itineraries around the Caribbean, including stops at the Perfect Day at CocoCay! She will begin sailings in Summer of 2025, so be sure to reach out to your Harr Travel advisor today to book your next vacation on the magnificent Star of the Seas!

Utopia of the Seas - Summer 2024

The 6th Oasis Class ship will be making her debut in July of this year. Utopia of the Seas is an exciting addition to the Oasis fleet, and is slated to be the best one yet!

Onboard, you will see the same neighborhoods that we have all grown to love on the Oasis ships, including Central Park, the Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, and the AquaTheater. Central Park will now include Izumi in the Park, the take-out sushi spot that debuted on Icon to much fanfare. Activities include a zipline, the Flowrider, and the Abyss- the longest dry slide at sea!

The Mason Jar is also making a return on Utopia, as it was an incredibly popular specialty dining option when it opened on Wonder of the Seas in 2020.

An immersive dining experience similar to the wonders of Wonderland will be on Utopia as well. Guests will take a culinary journey of flavor where no passport is required...intriguing to say the least!

Royal will be offering 3 and 4 days cruises of the Caribbean on Utopia, out of Port Canaveral, a great option for guests looking for long weekend trips, but also giving you the ability to book back-to-back cruises for a week long vacation as well! There will of course be stops in CocoCay, as well as the new Nassau Beach Club when it opens!

Oasis #7

Royal made more waves in February when they announced an order for the 7th Oasis Class ship that will be a sister to Utopia. This was huge news, as it was largely believed that Utopia would be the final Oasis ship. Royal Caribbean has partnered with French shipbuilder Chantiers de l'Atlantique to create the 7th Oasis Class ship, and she will be delivered in 2028. The order is expected to be finalized by the end of the year, contingent upon financing.

Jason Liberty, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group made the announcement, "While we eagerly anticipate the debut of Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas this summer, we’re already dreaming up her sister ship and the next installation in the brand’s extremely popular Oasis Class. Across our three brands, we are focused on continuously challenging ourselves to deliver the ultimate vacation experience.”

We know very little about this ship so far, but will continue to update as more information is released.

The Royal Wave

If you thought Royal Caribbean couldn't top Icon of the Seas...you better think again. Royal is set to ride this Icon wave straight to Utopia this summer, and up into the heavens on Star of the Sea in 2025, with even more to come in 2028. Nothing gets smaller with Royal, only bigger and better than before, and we look forward to the next two years with great anticipation of what Royal Caribbean has to offer next.
