Royal Caribbean Group has officially begun construction on its brand-new, $345 million cruise terminal at PortMiami. This project aims to replace the existing Terminal G and significantly enhance the embark and disembarkation experience for Royal Caribbean passengers.
The new single-berth facility will be capable of handling up to 7,000 passengers per call. The development also includes a multi-story parking garage and dedicated drop-off zones. The goal of the design is to revolutionize the flow of passengers by separating the embarkation and disembarkation areas by floor, ensuring smoother, congestion-free transitions.
This isn't Royal Caribbean's only investment in PortMiami; they also operate Terminal A (opened in 2018, accommodating Icon-class vessels) and are building a new ten-story office campus set to open by 2026.
The new Terminal G is designed to welcome the world's largest ships, including the innovative Icon-class vessels, and is slated to open its doors by Fall 2027. This development further solidifies Miami's position as the "Cruise Capital of the World" and promises an even more seamless and inspiring start to your Royal Caribbean adventure!
