The all-new Oceania Sonata is set to arrive in 2027 with an amazing passenger-to-space ratio and exciting new culinary offerings. This vessel builds on Oceania's 20 years of expertise navigating all parts of the globe, and we can see from the renderings that it was designed with intention.
The ship is 28 percent larger than her predecessors, but will carry just 16 percent more guests. The result is an unrivalled amount of space to relax, unwind, and explore the culinary offerings that continue to set Oceania apart.
If you have sailed the Oceania Marina, Riviera, Vista, or Allura, you will see a lot of familiar details on the Sonata. The increased space and new dining venues will give you tons of new experiences to explore.
Entertainment, Recreation & Relaxation
The top decks set the tone for the entire experience. A putting green, driving net, shuffleboard, and bocce ball keep active guests busy, while a wraparound fitness track and two aft hot tubs with wake views offer a more leisurely pace.
Baristas on Deck 14 elevates the complimentary coffee experience through Oceania's enhanced partnership with Illy, and next door, The Creperie — which debuted on the Allura to rave reviews — serves crepes, bubble waffles, and ice cream alongside 270-degree wraparound views of the pool deck below.
For wellness seekers, the repositioned spa and fitness center at the aft of Deck 14 is a true highlight. The Aquamar Terrace, exclusive to Concierge-level guests and above, features an outdoor thermal suite concept, hydrotherapy pools, heated stone loungers, and spa-inspired beverages — all with stunning ocean views.

Dining: The Best at Sea, Made Even Better
Oceania's reputation as the finest culinary cruise line in the world is well-earned, and the Sonata takes it further. The Grand Dining Room anchors the ship's dining program with expansive breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, featuring several hundred newly added dishes.
Specialty restaurants round out an incredible lineup: Jacques brings classic French cuisine to life under the guiding philosophy of executive chef Jacques Pépin; Red Ginger offers an Asian fusion experience spanning Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Nikkei-inspired Peruvian-Japanese dishes; Polo Grill delivers an unmatched steakhouse experience; and Toscana celebrates Italian heritage with handmade pastas and selections inspired by Giada De Laurentiis.
Brand new to the Sonata is Nikkei Kitchen, which takes over the Aquamar Kitchen space in the evenings to focus exclusively on the vibrant fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine.
The intimate 18-seat L'Aile offers a wine-paired tasting menu orchestrated by two of Oceania's master chefs. This is a limited seating venue and spots will go fast, so early booking will be key to unlocking this unique experience.
And the crowd favorite Waves Grill, featuring Wagyu burgers and handmade pizza, remains one of the most beloved casual dining experiences at sea.
Learning, Entertainment & New Experiences
The Sonata is as much about enrichment as it is about indulgence. The Culinary Arts Center provides hands-on cooking classes with world-class chefs, while the brand-new Chef's Studio offers a more intimate setting to hear their stories and learn their craft. The Artist Loft continues Oceania's celebrated artists-in-residence program, with offerings in painting, sculpture, and photography. The Link Digital Center rounds out the learning options with photography and technology courses.
In the evenings, the Sonata Lounge delivers Broadway-style entertainment and world-class guest performers, while the brand-new Opus Lounge offers craft cocktails, premium spirit tastings, and an immersive mixology experience featuring Macallan and other fine offerings. For quieter evenings, the Martinis piano bar — the best at sea — and the classic Horizons Lounge, home to Oceania's impeccable afternoon tea service, are always welcoming.
Celebrity is not first to the river cruise market, and they've used that to their advantage—learning from everyone else to create a truly exceptional product. What sets them apart is the combination of their celebrated designs and service, and the highly inclusive product.
